Separate the parts of the coverage

  • The frame and sash or door assembly.
  • The sealed glass unit and any applicable seal-failure terms.
  • Hardware, screens and operating components.
  • Paint, coating or decorative finishes.
  • Installation workmanship and agreed finishing.

Questions to settle before ordering

Ask who provides each warranty, when coverage starts, how long it applies and whether labour or service travel is included. Conditions, exclusions and transferability must come from the applicable documents, not a general marketing phrase.

Factory Lane’s final warranty wording and product-specific documents are pending confirmation. This preview does not promise a lifetime warranty, universal free repairs or coverage copied from another company.

03

Prepare a useful service request

Identify the opening, order reference and component involved. Add photographs and explain whether the issue is constant or happens during a particular movement or weather condition. Avoid forcing hardware or modifying the unit before receiving appropriate guidance.

04

Read coverage by component and responsibility

Read coverage by component and responsibility
Coverage itemWhat to confirm in the applicable document
Frame and sashCovered defects, term and conditions for the specified product.
Sealed glassThe defined glass-unit coverage and any exclusions.
Hardware and screensComponent coverage and service arrangements.
FinishPaint or coating conditions, permitted care and exposure limitations.
Installation labourWho provides it, what is covered and how a claim is assessed.
Transfer or registrationAny required process and deadlines stated in the actual warranty.
05

Keep the evidence needed for future service

Store the approved product schedule, invoice, warranty document and any registration confirmation together. A generic claim such as lifetime does not explain which components, labour or conditions are included. Read the specific supplied documents before treating two offers as equivalent.

Record later modifications, such as aftermarket films or hardware changes, and check compatibility before proceeding. If you request service, provide the relevant opening and a clear description of the concern so coverage and responsibility can be assessed.
