Light, privacy and proportion
Decorative glass, sidelites and transoms can change the whole entrance. Compare the pattern and sightline from inside and outside, and consider the view through the glass after dark when interior lights are on.
Panel proportions, colour, handle finish and trim should work together. A showroom sample helps make those decisions more tangible than a small image.
Confirm the installed scope
The frame, sill, lock preparation, sealing and finishing should be described in the quote. Changes to the opening or repairs to existing framing are separate items that need an assessment.
Build the entrance in four layers

Compare privacy under realistic conditions
A glass sample viewed against a bright showroom wall may look different from glass in a lit hallway after dark. Inspect the transparent areas and the height at which someone outside could see through them. A privacy pattern should be judged as installed in the full entrance.
If the door is part of a broader exterior update, compare the frame finish with nearby windows and trim. The interior face, hardware and swing should work with the hallway as carefully as the outside face works with the façade.
